Registry Mechanic in their advertising, claim to be the world's most popular Registry cleaner.  The program was recently upgraded to version 8.0 and included several additional features to help optimize the performance of your system.

Although the program does have a nice look and feel to it, and a lot of additional utilities included, the Registry repair program simply did not match up to its competitors performance.  In our test results, Registry Mechanic found a total of 97 errors versus our top pick, Registry Fix, found 1298 errors. 

In Summary: Registry Mechanic ends up at the bottom of our list, and we cannot recommend this program.
