RegDefense Review

RegDefense is relatively new in the field of Registry cleaners.  There seems to be quite a lot of interest in the product so we decided to include it in our test.  The initial download went well, and the program installed easily.  Upon opening the program, we noticed that the user interface was well-designed, and it was laid out similarly to many of the other registry cleaning programs.   

RegDefense performed the initial scan without any problems.  It located 333 errors across five sections of our Registry.  Unfortunately, this was less than half the amount of errors found by its competitors, and in several sections of the Registry, no errors were found, while the others found many.

Looking at the other features included with the program, RegDefense does include, a startup program manager, a full Registry backup utility and a scheduler.

For support, RegDefense includes an online help file and a forum.  We did not find any phone or email support available. 

In Summary: RegDefense scored in the bottom two of our test.  The number of errors it found were below average and there was nothing special about it's feature set.  So, with many other better performers, we do not recommend this one.
