Free Registry Cleaners, are they safe to
use?

There are many Registry Cleaners available,
many of which can easily be downloaded from the
Internet. Unfortunately, since they are so
“easy” to try, you might end up causing more
damage to your PC.
When you are experiencing problems with your
PC, and you are considering the use of a
Registry Cleaner you really should do your
homework first and check out the software prior
to using it blindly.
The Windows Registry is a large database file
on your PC that maintains all of the critical
information about the operation of your PC as
well as the software that you have installed.
This file is used to coordinate essentially
everything that you do on your PC.
Some Registry Cleaners are poorly designed and
not thoroughly tested and often take a reckless
approach to cleaning your registry file. This
may result in some “cleaning” of the files that
should not have been changed. Fortunately, most
registry cleaners come with a backup utility
that will save your registry file prior to
making any changes, so you can revert to it in
case of any problems.
So the question arises, which registry cleaners
are the best? Are there any free solutions
available that I can trust? These are probably
the two most asked questions about registry
repair.
We also had this same question, so we actually
did a live comparison test of many of the most
popular Registry Cleaner programs. You can
visit our website to see the full reviews as
well as a live video showing the programs in
action.
As far as free Registry Cleaners go, there are
a couple out there that do a pretty decent job.
Two of our favorites are,
1) CCleaner (ccleaner.com) and 2) Glary
Utilities (glaryutilities.com). Both of these
utilities have been around for awhile and offer
pretty good support.
In Summary, Registry cleaners can be very
effective in helping you restore your PC to
optimum performance. If you exercise a little
caution, and make a backup of your registry
file prior to use, a good registry cleaner can
quickly get your PC back in
shape.
